Slow Flow at Flux
A mindful, unhurried practice where movement meets breath. Find strength in stillness.
Why Slow Flow?
Slow Flow bridges the gap between a dynamic vinyasa and a restorative practice. The room is gently warmed to 80°F to keep muscles supple, but the pace is deliberately slower. Poses are held for several breaths, giving you time to explore alignment, sensation, and the subtle shifts that happen when you stop rushing.
This class is ideal if you're new to yoga, returning from a break, or simply craving a more introspective practice. Teachers offer plenty of modifications, making every shape accessible.
- Improves mobility and body awareness
- Reduces stress through mindful pacing
- Builds a strong foundation for more vigorous styles
- Includes guided breathwork and short meditation
What to expect in class
Breath‑led movement
Each transition is guided by inhales and exhales. You'll learn to use your breath as a tool for staying present.
Longer holds
Poses are held for 5–8 breaths, giving muscles time to release and your mind time to settle.
Beginner‑friendly
Clear cues and plenty of options. You'll never feel lost – even if it's your very first yoga class.
Meditation moments
Classes often end with a few minutes of guided meditation or a body scan to integrate your practice.

How is Slow Flow different from Hot Yoga?
Slow Flow is practiced at 80°F, a comfortable warmth that doesn't make you sweat heavily. The pace is slower, with longer holds and an emphasis on mindfulness rather than cardiovascular intensity.
Is Slow Flow suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Many students start their yoga journey here. Teachers provide clear verbal cues and multiple variations for each pose.
What should I bring?
We provide everything you need. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in – leggings, joggers, or shorts all work. Layers are nice for the final relaxation.
Can I practice Slow Flow if I have an injury?
Slow Flow is often a good fit, but please consult your doctor first. Arrive early and let the teacher know about your injury so they can offer modifications.
